Behind-the-wheel training can be scheduled using the links in the original confirmation email we sent you after you completed your registration process. If you need us to resend that email, just let us know, and we’ll do so right away.
The road training sessions are two (2) hours long. Our basic package consists of four (4) lessons, which make up the eight (8) hours required.
We offer two packages: one with home pick-up and drop-off and one without, which by default assigns all road training hours to start and end at Greenlight Driving School.
Our scheduling system automatically sends you an email reminder 48 hours before the lesson time, which provides plenty of time to reschedule in case something comes up. If you choose text message reminders during registration, you also have the option of receiving them.
We have a strict 2-hour Cancellation Policy. If you cancel a lesson with less than 2 hours’ notice, you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee, regardless of the reason for the cancellation.
There are two ways to cancel or reschedule a road lesson:
Nope. Students must have their permit physically with them during lessons, and we are required by the DMV to ensure that every student has their learner’s permit physically with them for every behind-the-wheel driving lesson—photocopies or pictures on phones don’t cut it. If a student doesn’t have their permit for their lesson, a $100.00 cancellation fee will be applied.
No. The DMV only allows a student to take one driving lesson a day. Students can attend classroom sessions and have a driving lesson on the same day. More importantly, we highly suggest that you space your driving lessons out over several weeks to practice what you’ve learned before moving on to the next lesson.
Road training sessions are usually booked four weeks in advance during the school year, especially during prime weekend times and school breaks. Summer is the busiest time, so lessons can sometimes be booked out more than a month in advance. Please plan accordingly.
Yes, we offer partial and round DMV trips for adult students.
We do not offer DMV trips to teen drivers since their parents or legal guardians must be present during the checking process to sign legal documents. However, if a parent wants to use our vehicles for their teen’s DMV road test, they can contact us to make arrangements.
